Comedian Chris Craddock Political Commercial Number 2 - The Environment

Chris Craddock strikes again. The Economy has accelerated past the Environment and is now overwhelmingly the #1 issue in the Canadian election.

Not a surprise. But the world is more complex and an election is not about a single issue. It is more about the inter-relationship of several critical issues - including the character of the various party leaders.

Harper Doesn't Get it! Think twice. Vote once. Vote Anybody But Conservative.

Ya! Now that is a dream worth living for. :-) ;-)

/btw With Harper having repeatedly given the Chinese the finger (déjà vu), and knowing that whenever the USA sneezes, Canada catches the cold. Has anybody given any thought to an even worsening financial/economic crisis around the corner for our country (which many pundits are predicting), along with, in all likelihood, the USA picking Obama as their next President (Harper's team gave him the finger, too)? What will happen to us if Mr. (right-wing) Harper wins, in a newly emerging middle-to-left-leaning world??? This should be a very 'scary' thought for all of us, I think!!!

With this crisis, the world is moving further to the right and embracing economic freedom. Any party other than conservative would leave us left behind along with the rest of the socialist nations in the world. If there is any scary thought - that is it.

  3. Anon- you are so full of it. Bush/Cheney just NATIONALIZED the home mortgage market in the US.

NOw he wants to do the same to the investment banking and stockbroker business with $700B of ordinary taxpayer dollars, just to bail out some greedy fat cats and fraudsters who plundered the system.

They have destroyed confidence in the US dollar, the US economy and the US business integrity around the world. You call that economic freedom and claim it is a postive inducement and evidence the world is moving to the right?

Bush just did a Chauvez for God's sake man.

Shake your head, I think it will rattle. Something is clearly loose in there.

FYI/ The melding of business and state - happens to be one of the elements of fascism.

  5. John - do you see any fascism aspects in Canadian politics these days?

  6. Hi Ken,

Not until Harper took over. The fact that RCMP and city police are now killing our fellow 'unruly' citizens with impunity, almost on a regular daily basis with their stun guns (now there is an oxymoron), along with Harper's push on 'law and order' geared towards the little guys, while doing practically nothing in the area of white collar crime, which as you know does as much harm, if not more, to society, are just two examples of Canadian fascism.

You know, 1% of the USA population are behind bars at any given time. The highest percentage on the planet. The way Harper is going, I think he would like to see that figure be the same for Canada too.

In my opinion, Harper 'reeks' fascism.
